Run the Show
We put on the Sabine County Junior Livestock Show, from entries clear through sale day.
For more than forty years, a group of Sabine County neighbors has done one steady thing: made sure this county’s kids have a place to work, show what they have built, and be proud of it. That group is the Sabine County Agricultural Improvement Youth Foundation, a volunteer board, not an office full of staff.
It has never been about the people running it. It has been about the kid in the ring, the family in the stands, and a county that decided a long time ago its young people were worth showing up for.
What We Do
More Than One Weekend a Year
The Show is the part everyone sees. Keeping it going takes work all year.
Keep Up the Grounds
We own and maintain the Expo Center: the arena, the barns, the wash racks, and the open ground around them.
Put On the Fundraisers
The BBQ cook-off and other community get-togethers are ours. They help pay to keep the lights on.
Back the Kids Year-Round
We stand behind Sabine County's 4-H and FFA youth, and help send graduating ag students on with scholarship money.

The Grounds
Long before show week starts, this ground is already earning its keep. The Expo Center sits at 3155 TX-184 in Hemphill: a show arena, livestock barns, wash racks, and open grounds for community gatherings, all kept up by people who live here and use it themselves.
